Terms of Service
Last updated November 4, 2026
These terms cover your use of First Hello ("we", "us"), a tool that helps you find people at a company from a job posting, find their work email, write outreach emails and track replies. By creating an account you agree to them.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent's or guardian's permission.
- Keep your login secure. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- One person per account.
How you may use First Hello
- Use it for genuine, individual outreach, such as asking about a job or a career conversation.
- You are the sender of every email. Drafts are put in your Gmail and you choose whether to send them. You're responsible for what you send and for following anti-spam and privacy laws.
- Don't use First Hello to harass anyone, send bulk unsolicited marketing, scrape data for resale, or get around the usage limits.
- People search, email lookup and research results come from public web sources and data providers. They can be wrong or out of date, so check them before you rely on them.
Plans and billing
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. Current prices and limits are on the pricing page.
- You can cancel anytime from your dashboard ("Manage subscription"). Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds are described in the refund policy.
- We may change prices or limits. We'll tell you at least 14 days before a price change affects your next renewal.
Your content
You own the contacts, notes and emails you add or create. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the service for you. Our privacy policy explains how.
Availability and changes
We're a small, early-stage service. We may change, pause or stop features, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Disclaimers and liability
First Hello is provided "as is". We don't guarantee that any email will reach its recipient or get a reply, or that you'll get a job or interview. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
Ending your account
You can stop using First Hello anytime and ask us to delete your account by emailing yg3028@columbia.edu.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA.
